Succession Act 1965 section 34(1)

From the 1st September 2004 it shall not be required of a person applying for administration, to furnish a surety, or sureties, in addition to an administration bond, unless required to do so by the High Court, the Probate Officer or, in the case of a grant from a District Probate Registry, the District Probate Registrar.
